Hey dmk,

What made you go with the OC Duff? Can you describe the differences between the Duff and the stock pickup?

Thanks! (bump)

OC Duff put together some pickups for my '53 Telecaster project, and I was so happy with the results I had him make up some handwound pickups based on '58 Precision specs. The only difference is that the A pole is not raised.

The Custom shop '59 pickups sound real good, but OC's pickups have a more full pleasing sound. Hard to describe in detail, but there is a difference. I'm including both pickups so the new owner can choose the one he prefers.

Bump for a drop dead gorgeous bass.

BTW, I've played a real '58 and the soft V neck shape felt amazing.

I agree, the soft V shape really is fantastic.

Some extra full body shots. Even though Fender calls this a Relic, I would categorize the finish between a Closet Classic and Relic.

Bump for an absolutely incredible instrument. I picked one of these up from DBopp and it's by far the best P I've ever played.

The pick tone on these basses is unbelievable! I might actually like these better than the pinos. Someone buy this already.

Comes with the Fender CS case - condition 8.5/10. Fret wear is minimal as it has always been strung with LaBella flatwounds.
