It is with great hesitation that I'm selling my Fender Custom Classic 4 string bass that I recently reacquired. It was made by the Fender Custom Shop in 2007 and is cosmetically in excellent condition. It has a few dents and nicks but none show up well in pictures. The upgrades put this bad boy in the same league as an NYC Sadowsky or Alleva Coppolo IMHO. This has one of the fastest necks I've ever played and the sound from this bass is thunderous and focused at the same time. It is definitely one of the most resonant basses I have owned. It oozes 60's vintage vibe when flat but can be ultra versatile with the available active eq courtesy of Lindy Fralin single coil pickups and Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. This bass is really special, but don't take my word for it! Listen to the clip and check out the pics!
Specs:
Weighs 8.7lbs.
34" scale
Alder body finished in 3tsb nitrocellulose
Neck and fretboard are maple with block inlays
Aguilar OBP-3 18v onboard preamp (volume, pan, bass, treble, mid)
Lindy Fralin single coil pickups installed
Lightweight Fender custom tuners
Includes a Fender Tweed Case in good condition
Asking $1685 $1585 or trade for something that will net me substantial cash. The upgrades alone are worth more than $300.

I used to own this gorgeous bass. The neck is sooooo nice on this one. It sounded great when I had it with the stock PUPs. I can only imagine it is better now. Great bass, price and TBer!!
Are those Fralin pups in the pics or Fender Noiseless?
Sorry for the delay. I was out with the family. The pickups are single coil fralins under noiseless covers. I also have the original fralin covers I will include. I dont however have the original electronics. Thanks.
