This is a superb and unusual Fender 5 string for tone and playability IMHO.
This bass is NOS and was bought as an investment.
I played it live for 2 songs and put it back in its case.
The LOW B is the BEST I have personally experienced on ANY Fender 5 string and I have owned at least 6 of them.
Don't be fooled by the very similar in appearance lower model American Deluxe
This is a Custom Shop model with a AA birdseye maple neck, select light ash body, Schaller-Fender logo tuners, 2 string trees for definition and articulation, Seymour Duncan factory installed pickups, pearl blocks and binding (even the standard Custom Shop Classic DID NOT come with binding and pearl blocks on a maple board), the black pickguard is also custom as the standard Custom Classics only come in white pearloid and tortoise shell.
A similar model is currently at $4250 on SWEETWATER site list over $5500. I bought this bass from Sweetwater.

If it does not sell by Easter, she goes into a vault and there she will stay...gonna definitely keep her.
