Fender Custom Shop Jazz

This is a great bass. It plays great and sounds fantastic - it's just missing a string for me. I keep trying to get into 4 string basses but just can't. There is a nick at the battery compartment, bottom edge and the headstock side of the nut/fretboard edge at the E and a lefty strap pin. All have been professionally touched up and are non issues whatsoever other than cosmetic. It has the Custom Shop 18 volt Fender 3 band preamp. Strung with brand new DR Hi Beams and fresh Duracell batteries. It comes in the original case with Fender Certificate of Authenticity and some case candy including Truss rod tool. It is an absolutely gorgeous bass. Light, great access to the upper frets, great tone, everything you'd expect from a $3,000 bass and the Fender Custom Shop.

$ 1,525 shipped. It's boxed up and ready to go. Lower 48 only please.

Is it possible to bypass preamp and play in a passive mode?
Would you ship to Europe if I am ready to pay extra for shipping?

There was a hole made in the lower horn for a strap button. It has been filled and touched up.

No bypass, but it would be fairly easy to do one. If I was keeping it I would.

As far as shipping - I have checked shipping to Berlin and via FedEx and UPS and it was about $300. I'd prefer to stay ConUS. It's just easier.

I thought it was active/passive instrument, similar to Sadowsky, but it is not that important.

I am living in Zagreb/Croatia. FedEx charges cca 400$ and UPS a bit less. Still it is a good price if instrument is good. You are selling it rather cheap for a custom shop instrument...

Yeah, I am. Unfortunately, no one seems to have any money right now so here it sits...

Paypal is fine. Shipping to MD would be easy. It's boxed and ready so I can ship as soon as the $$ clears.

Would you be willing to trade for a 2004 American Deluxe Jazz V QMT (Amber)?

I couldn't get it to show very well. It looks like similar to the touch up on the battery box on the back.

I decided to just leave this open. It isn't selling now, not much is, but it can't if the thread isn't open, right? If someone is searching for a Fender Custom Shop Jazz, hopefully they'll stumble on this thread.

Again, no international shipping and no trades, please.
