Fender Custom Shop Reggie Hamilton 5

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD.

I'm selling a Fender Custom Shop Reggie Hamilton 5 that is in EXCELLENT condition.

For pictures, go to www.gallery.me.com/joebone1

I am second owner of what is reportedly a 2006 instrument. It has an upgraded Fender bridge with more mass than the original issue, which is also included in the package, along with hard case, allen wrenches, strap, cable and all the original goodies. This axe has seen very little use and is really, really close to mint.

It plays and sounds great; traditional Fender sounds via passive or active operation of the P/J system with 3-band EQ, as well as a passive tone control that works like the Sadowsky VTC. The 34" neck plays well. This axe features a warmth and punch that are ideal. I'm selling it only because I can never seem to find my comfort zone with jazz-shaped bodies. Which is making me crazy, because this one really has the sound.

New, they go for $3400 street; I'm asking $2300 plus shipping.

Bump for one of the finest basses I've ever played - it pains me that the ergonomics are not great for me, especially since so many of y'all groove so deeply with jazz basses...

This is the bass for me. Unfortunately, $2,300 is not the price for me. Bump for a beauty.

A Word to Non-US Buyers...

So I hear ebay has changed their rules, such that sales from the US to abroad no longer work through USPS if the item is worth more than $650.00. This is bogus! I've shipped many valuable basses abroad via USPS, without problems, and they are a whole lot cheaper than the commercial services.

So to be clear, I'm willing to ship abroad, with my usual stipulations:

1. You pay for the item, shipping and insurance via paypal prior to shipping, and please don't ask for outrageous mis-statements of value for customs purposes.

2. You expressly bear all risk of loss or damage. I'll insure as much as I can, per your payment re same.

If you can bear paying UPS DHL or FedEx prices, that's an option. If you can live with the $650 insurance cap from USPS (and if your country will accept a full-sized bass box per the USPS website), I'm willing to ship pretty much anywhere via USPS.

So here is a chance for our non-US brothers-in-bass to take advantage of current exchange rates.

Oh, yeah...bump.

Great bass! I have one and love it. Amazingly comfortable neck and tone and variation for days.

No chance anyone would be disappointed if they scooped this.

free Bump for my goto bass for cover gigs.

WEIGHT...We've got the weight...9.5 pounds on the digital bathroom scale.

Let's get something going before ebay veers into view.
