Fender Deluxe Jazz V Sunburst $465 TO YOUR DOOR!!!

Those of us who have played the new Jazz Deluxe V know what great basses they are. This one is no exception. This Jazz has the best B string I have ever played. In fact, I played several basses over lunch today and this one STILL had the best J tone of all of them! However, deep down I am really a P guy. I lusted long enough and think I finally bought the one today! I will miss the American electronics this one has though

Now, the bass-

I purchased this bass new a few months ago and immediately put on a set of TI Jazz flats. I did this because I love the sound of flats and it saves on the frets. The bass comes with the double pole fender noiseless pickups and the 3 band preamp. I had to replace the midrange pot because when I installed the new chrome knobs, the center detent quit working. The pot was replaced, the knobs were installed, and everything works 100% perfect.

I prefer glossy necks, so I had the neck wet sanded and buffed to a nice shine. There are a few scratches (from fender!), that were not buffed out. Feel free to rough it back up with some fine steel wool if it bothers you. There is plenty of finish still on the neck.

Shortly after purchase I nicked the body and had it repaired. He said that since the finish is poly, the paint he used will never “meld” with the original. There is a small outline where the repair was made, but from a foot away, you cannot see it. The repair was made on the top rear where your arm rests while playing. No finish swirls or buckle rash though. The rest of the finish is literally in the same condition I bought it in!

A bass in the condition that this one is in hardly ever comes along. Let alone in a 5-string version!

little nick that was feathered and touched up (Camera makes it look much worse than it really is)

I will price this to get it over quick. I paid 700 for the bass; I would like to get $465 shipped in the USA. (Paypal preferred)(Standard Fender Gig Bag Included)

Feel free to pm or post questions. I answer very quickly.

Mexico. The quality is amazing though. No sharp frets and the neck plays like a kindergartners game of cards.

The electronics and pickups are the same Fender noiseless ones that go into the American series as well.

Overall just a really nice guitar that is sure to make someone really happy!

at this price, it must be a Mexican. Else, it will be called a Fender American Deluxe V with double the price tag likely.

That one's a four banger. Regadless, this is a great price for a Jazz V deluxe.

I wonder why they put "mini" tuners on a jazz bass? looks so silly....would hipshot small bodied elephant ear tuners fit?

Because the tuners are 5-inline. The large cloverleafs would hit each other when you turned them. Additionally, there would not be enough room to mount the large footprints that they have.

The tuners have NO slap in them, I think gotoh makes them. They are really nice tuners so I would suggest giving them a run before you replace them.

I believe you can put a badass on this bass. They do make a 5 string version.

Weight. Fender's designs are neck-divey enough as it is...
