For sale - the title says it all. An FSR '75 RI Jazz bass in Candy Apple Red, matching headstock, bound and blocked neck. This was one of 250 made in this color combination. The full description of this bass is:

"Bullet" Truss Rod Adjustment,
3-Bolt Neck Plate with Tilt Adjustment Feature
Source: CORONA (US)
Accessories: Black Tolex Case
U.S. MSRP: $2,199.99

The only non original item on this bass is that the original bridge was replaced with a BadAss bridge. I do not have the original. Included will be the original tolex G&G case, with all case candy. Also, this bass has a slight amount of wear on the bottom bout. I have included this in the pictures as best I could.

These basses have recently traded here at $1,400, so that is what I am pricing this beauty at.

As far as trades go, please let me know what you have. The worst I can say is no. I would be interested in EBMM Big Al (4 or 5) or a Sterling (4 or 5), particularly lighter models. Other 5's would have to have an 1.75" nut width; the only other 5's I would consider would be the new 2011 American Deluxe Jazz - I find that asymmetrical neck to be very comfortable, also I would consider Yamaha or Carvin as well. On with the pics!

I feel the three bolt necks are better imo. 2 of my 3 basses have em, love em.

Never liked them.

This one is solid. Never had a problem with it. As an FYI, this bass is set up with new DR Lowriders, .105-.45.

How does the thickness of this neck front to back compare to other fender j necks? I've heard some people say the 70's neck is extra chunky, and some say its extra slim, so what would you say this one is? Thanks.

this neck is extremely comfortable. I would not say that it is chunky at all. It is not "Geddy" slim, but if you want that, you need a Geddy. I have other Jazz basses, and this one feels no different than they do. This one has '70's PU spacing, the skunk stripe, the 3 bolt neck, etc. Mine was made in a run of USA basses that were intended for the European market.

LOL! I'll tell you what. Keep your soul. You can't really play without it. How about a kidney and a lung instead?

I had a white one of these before. Is this one on the heavier side? I think my old one weighed over 10 pounds.
