Fender Jaguar - Fixer-Upper

Sign in to disble this ad
A fixer-up bass for the more technically inclined bassists. If you know electronics a bit and can repair finishes (or just don't care about finish flaws) this bass is for you!

Fender Jaguar Bass - TRADED
Fender Jaguar bass that was in near mint condition when it began its journey to me. Black. Unfortunately, the packing job wasn't correct and the bass arrived to me in significantly worse shape than it started in. I worked with the seller to discount what I paid for it and figured that I would take it in to get fixed. I ended up taking it apart and doing some shielding work on it, along with repairing some of the issues that it acquired during shipping. Right now, it has a buzz when the active setting is selected, but the passive setting sounds fine. The original pickups were replaced with Dimarzio Ultra J pickups. The body has a gouge where it appears that it impacted something very hard. The paint is messed up, but it looks like a pretty easy fix. A bit of work with the electronics and some light finish fixing should put this bass back to a nice playing condition. Right now, it plays fine in both active and passive modes, but the active mode is buzzy.

Jaguar comes with a tweed Fender gig bag.

That thing would look (and probably sound) killer with a Badass II and Darkstar pickups.

Good luck with the sale.
