Fender Japan '75 Reissue Jazz Bass JB75US 3TS + HSC

I'm in pain. I hope this is over quickly so the grieving process can run its course.

Too many Jazz basses in the stable. I kinda went on a Jazz binge over the last few years, and now my Precisions and Rics are getting worked back into the rotation.

However, this is one awesome bass, I really hate to see it go.

It came from one of the Japanese shops (Katana?), I forget. I have $859.00 invested in the bass + shipping, then I put it in a nice hardshell, great fit. I thought the seller cut me a pretty good deal which I would like to further sweeten and pass on to my fellow TB'ers.

The specs:

Ash body
3TS
Maple neck, 1.5" at the nut
Rosewood fretboard with binding
Vintage USA Jazz Bass pickups
10.6 pounds
Serial number dates it to 2008-2009
Original black PG included, it currently has a nice tort PG

There are a couple of small scratches on the back. See pics.

This bass is a beast. Ballsy Jazz bass tone. It has a brand new set of Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings on it (.045-.105). The nut has been filed to perfection. Tilt-O-Matic adjustment works like a charm. Tons of fret life, frets seem to be quite level, I had no trouble setting it up with low action (around 5/64ths at the 12th fret, little relief). Of course, I play with a lighter touch. Unless you play exactly like me, it will need a set-up to taste. It seems to do better with a medium to heavy gauge string set.

$850.00 OBO, I'll pick up the shipping CONUS (Alaska and Hawaii, we need to talk), no messy international shipping. Not interested in trades.

One full-frontal nudity bass porn shot, then you can click the links for the rest.

Some photos look a little hazy because of afternoon sunlight, it is not hazy at all, very pretty 3TS and poly finish.

Thanks for the thought.

It is a solid bass, very comparable to my American Standard.

Thanks Maki. I hate hate hate selling this one, such a rock solid Jazzer, tone out the wazoo. Ash body a little on the weighty side, but it never bothered me much. Easy player.

It's generally used when you want to bring the thread back to the top of the "new posts" list, make it more visible, get some new responses, etc.

And welcome to the site.

PM replied, some interest here, I'm about to field best offers or move this one to the 'Bay.

Bump

Thanks man, it's pretty stunning in person, if you like that sort of thing. The ash grain shows through very nicely.

This one is now on the 'Bay. Make me a reasonable offer before anyone bids, I'll cancel the auction for you.
