Fender Japan Precision Deluxe passive - gold hardware + HSC

By serial number, it's a 1986-87 Fender Japan Precision with a 1 5/8" neck which has been modded in the following ways:

All gold hardware (bridge, knobs, tuners, screws)
Jazz pup added to turn it into a "Deluxe" configuration
Passive!
White pearloid pickguard
white pup covers


This bass is in great condition for its age and has medium low action and plays and sounds great. Some dings as indicated and some swirling front and back - no buckle rash or anything through the finish Comes with non-original tweed HSC. Controls are tone/vol/vol. No trades.

SO nice. I hope the nut is 1 3/4" or 1 5/8" so I don't have to lie awake at night thinking about it. If it's 1 1/2" I will put it on my *to stalk* list.

8.5# on the bathroom scale - but feels like closer to 9. Sorry, not sure on body wood. I don't see the figuring like there is on on ash basses, so maybe it's alder like I thought.

From the pics, I thought it was probably alder (or maybe basswood, but I couldn't see any telltale flaring in the finish that usually is an indication of basswood).
