This is a 2000 Fender Standard (MIM) Jazz Bass Deluxe V that I purchased this summer here on TB
(ORIGINAL THREAD). Sadly, a new baby on the way means I have to cull the herd and end my 5-string experiment (I'm no good on one yet, nor will I be).
So my loss and all of that. The bass is as it was in July when I received it, save that the bridge pickup output suddenly became fairly weak. I used the bass for a couple of home rehearsals and both pickups were fine, but at the third rehearsal the bridge issue presented itself. You can hear the signal, but it's not as hot as it was or should be. There's likely a loose wire or easy fix for a competent tech or tinkerer. I'm dropping the price I paid to allow someone else to dive in and figure out the pickup issue (which means my price is firm).
The bass is a great player, the Badass V bridge and brass nut are great upgrades. The bass is in like new condition with little sign of wear (the prior thread has some nice close up pix if you're interested).
The Shur electronics are aggressive and present and cut through the mix quite well. I just played the bass on a Sunday morning set and it sounded great (unlike my 5 string playing).
I'll get out of the way and let the pictures do the talking.
I have more pictures available, so PM me for additional pictures and info. I'm not necessarily interested in trades, but do have a thing for vintage basses and weird short scales, so it doesn't hurt to ask.
