This started as a sad jazz bass body, worn and unloved. I thought about modding it crazy, but I felt like it needed to get back to its roots. So I got new manufacturer parts and went from there. I figured this was going to be a soso project, but when I got it together I was surprised by how well it balances and overall sounds. For being a "stock" MIM, this thing sounds better than any MIM jazz I have played. I like having the precision neck mixed with the jazz body, one of my favorite combos. I was very surprised by the range of sounds this is able to produce. Only letting it go because I have another project I would like to finish and not having a solid band right now it is hard to justify having this many toys.
