I picked this up in a trade about a week ago (
Original Thread) thinking it would take over P duties from my Roadstar.....but I prefer the Roadstar. I don't use P's enough to have more than one laying around, so she's gotta go.

1984-85 Fender P bass that I have owned since the summer of 1985. My parents bought it for me for my birthday and I have owned it ever since. Its a E series made in Japan P bass. Its in great shape but has typical small dings in the neck, nothing major. It is not 100% original I added a BA II bridge sometime in the 90's and I replaced the pickguard with a genuine Fender Pearloid one. It has CTS pots, a NOS Jenson PIO cap, and all vintage pushback wiring. I have the original pickguard with the original pots and cap still mounted on it. The fretboard is very dark in color and very tight grained. The bass plays fantastic and the neck has the width of a standard P bass but with a slimmer profile, this is as compared to my other P basses.

As stated above, a couple of dings in the neck. The worst are around the nut and first fret on the G side where the rosewood meets the maple. There's also a small ding (not through the finish) on the back of the neck around the first fret, a ding or two at the end of the headstock, and a small indentation on the fretboard between the A and D strings and 3rd and 4th frets all pictured below. The first few frets are showing a little bit of wear, but nothing major.
The body is in great shape. It's got a couple of tiny dings on it also, but they're small enough that I couldn't get them to show up in any of the pictures.
Comes with schaller tuners and strap buttons(no locks though), BAII bridge, and a pearloid pickguard. I no longer have the original pickguard/wiring that was include because my dog decided to use it as a chew toy. I'm not sure how original it was anyway because it had wiring for a battery harness and 25k pots. Not mentioned in the original thread and included in the interest of full disclosure; the hole for the pickguard screw that sits between the volume and tone knobs pushed through the edge of the control cavity. There is a small piece of wood glued in that the screw catches to keep hold.
Ships in the non-original Fender HSC in the pictures below. Case is in solid shape. It's got some scuffs here and there but latches tight and doesn't have any funky smells or anything.
