Well, this may be a bit strange but I just recently got this beautiful P-Bass, I've had a couple threads up about how to "decorate" it, had it set up (properly, with a fret dress and everything), and had a bridge cover and thumb rest installed. I put a set of La Bella medium gauge flats on it as well.
My thing is, I like this P-bass, a LOT. This is pretty much exactly what I'd want in a P-bass (if not exactly), but I still like my Lakland JO5 more.
This all comes back to the same reason I sold my Lakland 55-02 for my JO5, I'm just thinking a Jazz bass might suit me better.
So while I'm bonding with the P-bass and deciding if it's what I need in my arsenal right now, I'm putting it up for trade for the right 4 string Jazz Bass.
INTERESTED IN:
4 String Fender Jazzes
G&L JB's
Geddy Lee Jazz
White Marcus Miller
4 String Lakland Skyline
Status Basses
MM Bongo (would take 5 string)
Other 4 strings (most likely J style, but I'll always at least consider other offers)
Of course, would add cash or trade if appropriate.
I REALLY like neutral colors, black, white, silver. Don't really want sunburst, I want something different than my JO5.
I've also got a
Genz Benz GBE600 head, a Charvel Fusion IV, and a Yamaha RBX750A that I might consider adding to this to make a package deal for the right bass.
INFO: The bass is a 1992 MIJ Candy Apple Red '57 reissue P bass. solid quality, sounds great, and plays effortlessly. It has one decent sized ding/gash on the side of the body near the knobs. There are a couple small blemishes on the body and neck, but nothing major. I can take pictures of these if the right trade comes up, but for now my camera isn't working so well and I'll stick with the pictures I've got.
The bass comes with both pickguards, if I decide to trade it.
This is going to be hard to get rid of, but I'm always looking around for the right Jazz and maybe someone who loves P-basses would really enjoy this one. If I don't find a trade I have to have, this one's staying for sure.
