Fender MIM P bass Midnight Wine-$350 Shipped
 

This MIM is in beautiful shape , its also a beautiful midnight wine color. Its a 2002 make and was bought from the original owner. I still have the hang tag and some paperwork it came with. He played it 5 times over the course of 7 years and never learned to play. I bought the bass as it was part of a package deal with a amp and I honestly have no use for it. It has plastic still on the pickguard and every single hang tag from fender is still present.

Its in great shape nearly brand new, only issues are the skunk stripe on the back of the neck sticks out a bit. I can feel it with my hand while playing.It seems like 1 in every 3 MIM's i have had that are around 10+ years in age has this going on, maybe poor glue was used. It doesnt bug me and I planned to leave it as is but I am sure a little careful sanding would resolve said issue.

I am clearing out all gear being unused and frankly I have only played this 15 minutes the whole time I owned it.

I just strung it up with elixer strings, its ready to go

Amp is obviously not included, just bass and paperwork. Gig bag for $10 extra , brandnew. Prices are firm this is a good deal, plastic still on the basses pickguard. Also willing to part out as $225 for the body $175 for the neck.

my very first bass was a 2001 MIM P bass in midnight wine! My bass is one year older than this one and the skunk stripe is fine. Interesting to hear that the stripes rise up.

Also,I think new in 2001 these went for just under $400,so this is a really nice price for a near mint P bass!

Yeah its a great P bass but I have to much gear, as for the skunk stripe its weird but i have encountered it before, a little sand paper should do wonders.
