Fender P '62 AVRI / Custom Shop FIESTA! $1150!

Body Sold, Neck available! $700 shipped. Jump on this quickly, I'm taking her to ebay.
Fender Custom Shop '56 P neck - check it!

It's back for your viewing pleasure

This is a supremely cool one of a kind combo, perfect for that hard to buy for Precision player who has everything. The deets here are from the guy I got it from....
A 2000 '62 AVRI body in Fiesta Red nitro, married to a 1997 Fender Custom Shop '1956' neck with aged reverse long stem tuners and a radiused heel to fit the body. Pencilled in on the neck heel is 'P/J'. The marriage ceremony was performed by L.A. luthier David Enke, who's clients include John Paul Jones and Ian Anderson.

The neck has the old P chunkiness but with a 1 9/16" nut width, Jazz territory. Having never played a '56 P I have to assume this is period correct. It does remind me of a '51 RI I had, but faster. I've taken the gloss off the poly on the back of the neck with steel wool. I finally got this out of the shop where it had a level and polish and some small poly touch ups on the neck (see pix). It's strung with fresh LaBella flats and it packs a damn punch! I have the action on the high side but you'll have no problem setting it how you like it.

It's very clean EX+ condition as is the Fender HSC it comes with. I have a 5 string jones right now,(Sadowsky, Valenti) so any trade action is in that arena. Selling price now $1150 shipped in the US.

9 lbs. All Fender USA. $1150 is what it is. I won't be dropping the price anymore unless I need hip replacement surgery or something.

I am very interested in a Sadowsky Metro RV5 or similar. I have some cash to add for the right bass.

It has the original Fender split coil they use in these USA reissues. I'm not sure what that is exactly, anybody?

PS- the pole pieces are bevelled

Fender calls it "Vintage Precision BassŪ Split Single-Coil Pickup" I believe they all have beveled edges now.

Output matches the look, for sure. I'd scoop it up if I didn't just buy a '62 AVRI SB a few months ago. I LOVE the Fiesta Red. HOT! HOT! HOT!

It was offered in 2000, but was also offer in 1982-1983.
