Does it come with the gig bag in the first picture? I've been looking for a good one in this color forever.

Yes, I will be including the Gig Bag. The gig Bag is a little beat up but 100% usable and will protect it well.

I have a Power Jazz Bass Special. Mine has some mods, so I can't speak one way or the other to the original electronics, but I will say that it is one of the more resonant -- and one of the most even -- 4 string instruments I've played, bolt-on, set-neck, or neck-through. I love playing mine and, on the rare occasion I let someone else play it, it always sounds great out in the crowd. Wonderful neck on mine.

Thanks MarkA. This is my 3rd Power Jazz. All have had all original electronics and I love the Stock setup. It's basically a Fender P-J Bass but the Active Preamp gives it more balls for lack of any better term. Tons-O-Punch! This Rare colour and Minty condition Makes me know I'll miss it if it sells.

I've had some questions on the Scale of this Beauty. It has 22 Frets but the neck has the overhang at the body. The distance is 1/8" longer from bridge to nut as compared to my 3 other Fenders, Nut width is 1 1/2" Neck is nice and straight and Truss work perfectly.

It still is considered a 34" Scale. I am still pretty firm on my price due to the Rare color and Carbon Fiber Headstock.

It's a 34" scale. If you want to be sure, measure from the nut to the 12th fret -- take that and multiply by two to get the scale (a 34" scale should come out to 17" at the 12th fret). Measuring to the saddles (which will all be in different places to achieve proper intonation) or the bridge plate is less reliable.

That graphite fiber, I am pretty sure, extends under the fingerboard on the Power Jazz Bass Special (but not on the "non-Power" Jazz Bass Special). Not 100% on that, but I have read posts here that state the same. At any rate, the neck on mine is very stable, despite being slender and, as I said before, very even in tone and response. Last time I had it out someone tried to buy it from me. I told him NEVER!

graphite layer, other info.

Read post #7 and post # 11 in this thread.

Actually, the whole thread is pretty interesting. Not sure what to make of the posts made by someone purporting to have known Jaco (serious? tongue-in-cheek?), but there is some good discussion of this specific model bass, for those curious.

EDIT: Almost certain the guy's Jaco stories are tongue-in-cheek (and he only ever made three posts under that username, all in that thread), but he seemed on-point when it came to actually talking about the bass, so I did a little checking. Here's a Fender manual I found online, from 1987: http://support.fender.com/manuals/in...%29_manual.pdf

In it, the Jazz Bass special is listed as "Fretboard: Rosewood" while the POWER Jazz Bass Special is listed as "Fretboard: Rosewood (Tri-Lam neck)." "Power" version also has 22 frets instead of 20. My Power Jazz was my first bass, so I'm curious about it!

Thanks MarkA for the Info, I had a white one of these strung BEAD and gigged it for a Year or two. They have killer tone and tons of punch. MY RIC gets all my attention but I know I'll eventually just end up buying another one of these.

The Low B was great. Plenty tight and punchy. I just hated losing the G-String. I was always reaching for higher notes.

I'll try to research it. Most people always call it Seafoam Green but you may be correct.
