Thinning the herd to help fund the purchase of a new amp. I am selling my teal green 2005 Fender Precision 62 reissue (crafted in Japan) bass. Bass is in like new condition, straight neck, low action. No dents, bumps or bruises anywhere. Comes with Seymour Duncan bassline pickup (I don't have the original pickup) and a straplock. Also has a racey neckplate (I bought it that way). Additional pics available on request. Great sounding and playing bass. No issues. Will ship to Canada and the continental US only please in old but sturdy hardcase. No trades please. Asking US$ 600 shipped or best offer. Paypal only. Thanks for looking.

CIJ was usually alder, while MIJ was usually basswood. Usually.

The MIJ and CIJ was just a year change it didn't really effect manufacturing. There has been for years an entry level Japanese reissue with a basswood body and a higher end one with alder and US pickups.

Nice looking P. Really nice........
Only way to tell the wood, or model is to slip the neck off and check the pocket. Take pictures of the stamps for reference.

Send a message via AIM to GeneralElectric
You can tell if its alder or basswood by the model stamp in the pocket. If it says PB62-US its alder.

Also usually the Alder have bigger tuner key backs, the basswood ones have a smaller key design.
