FS/FT Fender Precision Lyte Deluxe

Up for sale is a P lyte Deluxe that has been sitting in a case for far too long. I have several jazzes I use, but this nice little bass seems to no longer get any attention. I am a new member to TB, so please ask any questions you may have about the bass or myself.

As for the bass, it's been in my possession for about 7 years. It does have some very small scratches on the headstock and bottom of the body from a previous owner (difficult to see with this type of finish). Also has one small nick in the back of the neck. I used to play it all the time. It's very light weight with an excellent tone. It has a very thin neck and is probably the fastest I've ever played. All original MIJ.

I'm asking $550 shipped, or interested in other 4 string trades.

Nice MIJ bass!

Free drive-by bump. I have one of these--it found me by sheer luck--and must say that I love it. The P Lyte Deluxe is the model of bass that Carol Kaye was playing in her interview for the as-yet-unreleased Wrecking Crew movie. These are light as can be and play like buttah. Even I sound decent on this puppy, and that is saying something!!

I believe the body is mahogany. Electronics are active-only with three band EQ. TI flats sound killer on this.

GLWTS!!

I hate that this is still here bump for you.

Love this version of the Lyte and plan to grab one in the next year. Unfortunately the wife has been off work for the last 2 months so I'm just going to have to wait a little longer. Only reason I sold my Lyte was to go down the 5 string road and needed the cash to do it but regret selling it to this day.

Here's another free bump for you.
I've got many basses included some boutique expensive ones.
And yet I will never part with my P Lyte Deluxe, NEVER!

Very Lyte! LOL.

If the OP doesn't mind...haven't weighed mine, but I would guess in the 7 pound range. These basses are extremely comfortable to play, either standing or seated.
