Fender precision lyte MIJ $280 shipped

For sale is a Fender Precision Lyte made in Japan. It isn't mint but it plays very well and sounds even better. This is a players bass! I purchased this bass with the intent of having a bass that I wasn't worried when I hit the occasional music stand on stage. I bought the bass used and have put Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder p/u and a Seymour Duncan S3 jazz p/u in. I have the original p/u's and they will ship with the bass. I have fixed all of the loose knobs and cleaned it up. Since then it has been a great bass. I've never liked Fender until I bought this bass. I'm selling because I have since bought another beater bass that suits my needs of more strings a bit more. Now I have too many basses and this needs to move on.

$280 shipped

This is a long shot pic to try and get the entire bass in one shot. It is black with a bit of gold sparkle in it. Come to think of it I forgot to take a pic of the neck. It is in good condition with no nicks or scrapes or anything. Matter a fact it is probably the best piece of the bass

This is the headstock. Looks like a bit of finish has come off, but gives it that vintage thing. There is no damage to the wood, no cracks etc.

This is a pic of the front body. This is through the finish, only cosmetic. The wood is 100% with no cracking etc.

This is a simple pic of the entire front. Looks like there was once a thumb rest installed.

The neck is one of the best I've played and it will be truly missed. It is thin and fast and would be more comparable to a jazz neck but better for some reason. Of course the only jazz neck I have to compare it to is a simple mim at the music store that I played many moons ago once.

It very well may be the exact specifications of a jazz neck but just plays much smoother than the one from the store.

Hope that answered your question.
