Fender Roscoe Beck 5, $775 shipped conus

2000 Fender RB5 shorline gold, in good great shape & well cared for. Recent setup includes, f-board oiled, frets polished new nut installed and Fender 8250 nickel wounds. One of the best sounding basses I have owned, this bass is very versatile. Frets are in excellent shape, no grooves. Truss rod works to design, neck is straight. There are 3 small dings (couldn't focus on them with my digi cam) on the under side of the lower horn; unseen when held in the playing position. And 4 small dings on the back of the bass near the neck plate. All have finish in tact. The neck has a small crack on the headstock at the "B" string tuner hole. This has been repaired by wicking in Super Glue and gluing in a brass tube shim in the tuner hole....works slick! problem solved. In addition, two small finish chips on the edge of the f-board.
Bass comes with: Dunlop strap pins, new set of Fender 8250 nickel wounds (in package) Strapture 4" neoprene strap, and a Gator gig bag case (gig bag material, reinforced foam insert, shaped like a case). $775.00 shipped / insured conus. USPS postal money order...sorry, no Paypal. Pics to come soon!

Thanks, p5

Sorry for the slightly OT question, but what's the other bass pictured with your RB-V? It looks really nice.

Gents....thanks for the pm's, I have replied to all.
As for the second bass in the 1st pic....I built that 2 yrs. ago, semi hollow (channled), Myrtle burl, wenge and black limba. Moses Jazz neck, Hipshot tuners and bridge, And a piezo system; a total of 6.9#'s.

The only trade I would consider, is a MM Bongo 5HH. This is what I'm movin' the RB5 for.

Thanks, Steve

I have the same exact bass, and it is nice. The neck is wide yet very playable. For the money he's asking you cannot go wrong.

Does anyone know if these basses have the same neck as the Fender American Deluxe Vs? The Jazz and Precision have the same neck and this one looks awfully similar.

ALL pm.s replied!

msquared, I have heard the same too, but right before buying this bass, I played a Fender Dlx Jazz V, and I could swear that the neck was more baseball bat like. Seemed like it was 1/8 thicker than my RB5.

^^^I was certain that someone would have fielded this question by now.

The RBV neck is asymmetrical oval while the deluxe is C shaped. Other than that, I believe that they are nearly the same (except of course that the RB has 6 bolts and the deluxe has 5).
