Fender Roscoe Beck V $1375 Shipped

So I guess I'm looking to sell my Fender RB V. Always said I wouldn't, but I gotta thin it out a touch. It's in nice condition, all stock. Frets in good shape, all pots and switches perfect. It's been played a little, has a few scratches and dings that go with the territory.

Along the bottom edge of the body- scratches through clear coat, but not through the color.

Top horn has a small ding.

Neck has a small ding on the radius near the third fret, my thumb doesn't touch it while playing.

Fretboard has a small piece of clear missing from the edge near the 3rd fret.

Both of the neck issues could be easily fixed with a drop of clear, it never bothered me so I didn't touch it. I don't have the original hard case for it, but it comes with a good fitting generic hard case.

I'm thinking $1375 shipped to lower 48, Fed Ex & Paypal probably. Only thing right now I'm looking for is a MB Super Synth.

BTW, I don't have internet access until after 6pm Central M-F.

Thanks!

Can you describe what all the controls do? Is it passive and how much does it weigh?

Thanks for the control description Edward G!

The weight is 9.5 lbs. I love how well balanced it is, no neck dive. I couldn't afford it when I bought it either, just happened to have cash on hand when I spotted it at a local shop. I was talking to their luthier, and he was doing a setup on it as it had just come in. I remember him saying, "This is the nicest sounding bass I've ever played" I Played it for about a hour, made a offer and bought it. It's mostly hung on the wall since then, kinda scares me to play basses out that cost over a grand, ya know?

I've been wanting a RB V and a cherry red bass. Pondering quickly.

This is a lighter one. I sold one recently that was more than 10 pounds. Truly a great bass by any standard. Perhaps the greatest passive 5 ever made (so far).

I have a 2004 American Deluxe P-bass 5. I'm curious if the neck will be similar on this. Anyone?

RBV neck is flatter and wider. Bump for the best sounding Fender 5er ever made IMHO

I have one in shoreline gold and I do believe the RBV is the best passive bass made. I don't think I could part with mine. Its the only passive 5 I have, when I got it I stopped looking and got rid of everything else, its that good.
