I bought this a couple months ago brand new from fender, it is in very good condition. there is one small ding which IS down to the wood near the bridge, you can see it in the pictures. it is very small and would barely be aable to be seen with a small touch up. i have left it alone so that you can see it. also there are light scratches on the back but nothing major or even into the finish.
the bass weighs in at just under 9 lbs although feels like less to me, and is a 9 out of 10, great condition. very, very lightweight, and balances well. comes with the original case and all case candy. i have not installed or even touched the pickup covers but it comes with the mutes and everything. the grain is awesome and the wood pieces match well. i took the pics in direct sunlight so the seams show more but in regular light they dont show as much. what is really cool to is the neck is COVERED, although it was hard to get pictures of, little birdseyes.
the nitro finish is very cool and will age nicely. the tone is beautiful and it records very well. i would keep it but i have decided to keep my vintage basses and need money for christmas. here are some pics:
