Fender USA Deluxe Bullet Bass (82?) w/OHSC

Sign in to disble this ad
Great bass, full scale since it's the deluxe model. The original case has one working latch, but both hinges are fine and it is possible to fix the other latches on the front (no broken plastic, just missing metal pull-down parts), in better shape than most early 80's Fender cases. Everything original. Neck Serial says E0, so its probably 1982.

Two issues: 1) The "HI" marking on the back that doesn't really go past the finish (isn't so bad in person) 2) With the action quite low(as they usually are on these guys) the 12th fret of the A string will buzz depending on how hard your playing style is...for some reason just the 12th fret...oddly enough this issue seems to have just about gone away, maybe it was the strings breaking in(?)

$SOLD

Man, if this was a shorty I'd be all over it. Best of luck with the sale!

Do these sound like PBasses?

How are they for slapping?

Yes, like a P only not as "grindy" more mellow. You can turns the treble all the way up and not have it sound like you're working with heavy machinery. The action's low and the finish isn't worn down on the maple board so it's great for slap.

May I ask the story behind the "HI" on the back?

It's short for both Hello and Hawaii.

Dave88,

Do you know where to find the latches? I have a Squier Bullet and my case is down to two latches in the same shape, they're there but missing the top piece that comes down to latch.

wish I had the extra cash to grab this. Maybe if my DiPinto sells...
