$550 Shipped in the lower 48. See below for details/backstory.
I have a '97 American Fender P body (alder) with a maple Warmoth jazz neck, Hipshot Ultralights, '62 RI P/U, CTS pots with the vintage style cloth wiring. The bridge is a mix of the plate from a Gotoh 203 and the saddles of an American Deluxe bridge. It is currently wearing a black pick guard, but a Tort one will be included as well.
Ive heard the bass go from buttery smoothness with Chromes on it, to grindy in your face rock tone with the current set of DR LoRiders (Nickel). I will be including both sets. The DRs maybe have 10 hours of play, but I have no idea on the chromes, they were on the bass when I got it.
I would not be selling this bass at this time if it weren't for some unexpected expenses, so I know what I need out of the bass price-wise, so please no lo-ball offers. I bought the bass for $565 recently from TB'er flewis, so that is what I would like to get.
I know this cant exactly be a stipulation you buying the bass, but flewis badly wants this bass back (its a fantastic bass and Im going to miss it), but we just haven't been able to work it out, so it would be greatly appreciated by the both of us if you wouldn't mind giving him first crack on buying the bass if the time comes for you to sell it.
I will be traveling to New York in a week, so there is a possibility of delivering then, if Amtrak will allow it as a carryon. Otherwise, I will be shipping at the buyers expense. I have a Fender gigbag I will ship it in, but if you are in the Central Virginia/North Carolina, we could probably work out a meeting.
The only trade I will consider is a hard case to fit a Lakland JO5. If that situation comes about, then I have a Protec gig that we might be able to work something out with instead of the Fender bag.
Sorry, I know this is slightly rambling (in the middle of moving and Im tired and frazzled), but if there are any questions just let me know. I will try and get some pics tonight or tomorrow.
Dave
EDIT: I forgot to mention, there is a high fret at 19 or 20 on the D and G side. This only is a issue if you play really high up, and probably wouldn't matter if you didnt like the low action that is set up on the bass. Anyhow, it never affected me, but Frank let me know about it, so you should know too.
EDIT 2: Price drop to $550 plus Ill cover the shipping to the lower 48.

Another one one my basses I needed to sell that has a neck (Warmoth) that will go flat and play w/o buzz, if you like'em flat and play with a light touch! I wish I had the funds to get her back Dave!
Someone will get a very nice bass at a great price!
Sorry for the fuzzy pix!

Also I forgot to lemtion to potential buyers. I took the finger rest off because it made slapping easier, but I think I may have lost it when I moved last week. |
