Fernandes FRB-85 made in Japan 4-string

This is a Fernandes FRB-85 bass, made in Japan. I believe this line was renamed the Gravity series later, when production moved from Japan to China, as I also have a Gravity 4 deluxe which is identical to the black FRB-85 except for the pickups. This has a top-loading Gotoh bridge for quick string changes, FGI Precision/Jazz pickups, and an FGI 2-band preamp. Ash body with a 3-piece maple neck and maple fretboard. Great shape with a few very small dings in the finish.

Tweed gig bag included!

Price: $300 shipped. Trades I'd be interested in are 5-string basses with narrow spacing, guitars with p90's, maybe a tube guitar combo amp. Trades +/- cash are fine.

You can see that this is the model at the very bottom of this flyer:

Here's a picture of the Gotoh bridge, excpet in chrome instead of black. Bridge was also made in Japan. I really like these bridges.

I don't know the exact year of this bass, but from a bit of research, this version of the FRB series was sold from 1999 to 2003.

How would you describe the shape of the neck? What about fretboard radius and width of neck at nut and last fret? Thanks.

Radius is probably 14" or 16". I don't have a way to measure it, but it seems fairly flat.

As far as the shape of the neck and the width, I'd describe it as being somewhat opposite of the Ibanez Soundgear or Fender Jazz necks. By that I mean the Ibanez and J necks seem very narrow across the fretboard, but the back of the neck is quite round. The neck on this Fernandes seems a bit wider across the fret board, and the back is a little bit flatter. At least that's how it feels to me.
