well, so many people post their basses with the whole "i really dont want to sell this" routine, and im going to do the same thing

i really dont. but i started getting back in touch with my musicman roots and recently bought an atk305 and a sub5 so something has to go. ive got jazz basses coming out of my ears and this one hangs with all of them.
a few months back i picked up a bunch of mij jazz basses. mostly fernandes', but a mij e series squier as well. this is by far the best of the bunch as well as being the coolest looking one. this bass has an absolutely straight neck with no hint of a ski jump at the end of the neck. this was the only fernandes i bought for which that could be said. when i got it, since i had the intention of keeping it, i took it to my buddy jason workman at national resophonic guitars who does my repairs. (heres a plug

if youre ever in the central coast of cali, hit him up. ive had him do work on my vintage fenders with great results and im a picky s.o.b.)

he did a fret level on it to ensure great action, as well as roll the fingerboard edges and install a new nut. it didnt really need one, but these necks are a tiny but wider than 1.5 at the nut, so i had him space it as if it were a 1.5 width neck. since then the nut has been shimmed up as the depth i originally spec'd was lower than i could end up getting away with. check the pics for the richer, higher quality rosewood board than whats on some of my more expensive basses.i also did the ernie ball thing on the neck and applied a coat of birchwood casey tru-oil and then wax'd it. i was gigging this heavily, so it already has some wear through in the money position which makes it feel like a broken in old fender. ill gladly reapply the finish if you'd desire if thats not your thing.
in addition, i bought a set of duncan sjb'1s for it. its now a grindy vintage sounding beast.
im asking 450 shipped and insured via usps parcel post(doesnt come with case or bag)for it considering all the money ive put into it. i know thats higher than what they usually go for, but this one started off as one of the good ones and has all the upgrades to make it feel and sound killing. this thing sounds more like a fender than the current mia standards that have the posiflex rods that make the basses sound hollow.
if youre not interested in the duncans, id gladly re-install the stock pickups for a discount.
heres a sound clip recorded after the duncans were installed

condition wise, theres some belt buckle worming on the back, but it doesnt go through the finish. theres also a couple dings where the paint has chipped off, but those are in the pics.
