A Few Fantastic Fender Fours

Sign in to disble this ad
Thinning the herd, thought these 2 were keepers but I need Xmas money more than I need 5 basses.

First up is a vintage looking jazz bass. I took the neck off a 2010 USA Hwy 1 and put it on a Geddy body. Never cared for the Geddy neck, this one feels just right. Upgraded tort pickguard and Hipshot tuners. Blocks are highy quality stickers, they look awesome and you can't feel 'em while playing. Don't like them? They come right off with no mess. Only 1 small nick to speak of, invisible from a few feet away. Weighs 9.6lbs, ships in a new Fender deluxe gigbag.
$625 $599 shipped

2010 Hwy 1 Precision. Beautiful nitro burst over a 2-piece body, pics don't do this one justice. Upgraded tone pot to a Fender TBX pot. Very cool mod that allows you to completely remove the tone pot from the circuit. At the center detent it's a standard tone control: turn it down for the typical high roll-off, turn it up past center and you get more highs and lows. Upgraded the bridge to a vintage reissue with threaded saddles and added a bridge cover and a Fender "F" neck plate. Weighs just over 9lbs and ships in a new Fender deluxe gigbag.
$600 shipped SOLD!

Excellent idea with that Hwy 1 neck on the Geddy. Just something about those Hwy 1 Jazz necks that feel great. Gorgeous basses; good luck!

Yeah, it's an excellent match. Was never fond of the pencil-thin glossy Geddy necks.

Sure. Must be a Fender-esque fretted four (Lakland, MM, G&L, etc.) or Mesa gear.

Oh comeon, that's less than you offered me in a pm for the P. Haha. :P
Anyways, at 575, I'm really thinking about this.
