Fire sale: ONE WEEK ONLY - Pete Hilton 32" Custom

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a ONE WEEK ONLY deal. I've been offered a dream bass but only have one week (probably not even) to make a move on it. I DO NOT want to sell this bass so if this doesn't move essentially immediately, I'm pulling it off the market...I'm only listing this out of the slim possibility that I can raise a TON of cash in a tight period of time to make the impossible happen. If you are diggin on this bass and want it...this is your shot. Don't guild the lily, because this isn't marketing BS, this is a limited time offer.

Without further ado...I offer up my beloved Pete Hilton Custom.

$3,500 shipped to your door insured. Reasonable offers considered, low-ballers will be ignored.

Specs:
gorgeous cocobolo top that has slits carved in it to reveal the body wood...ONE OF A KIND DESIGN (w/ matching headstock with "Hilton" carved in the top wood of the headstock, revealing the underwoods - SUPER cool - cat's eyes on the headstock too!!!) - walnut body with bocote back - walnut neck (with heel block) - 29 frets!!! (all accessible) w/ wood & bone nut) - Kent Armstong passive humbucking pickup - Hilton custom passive circuit (similar to Carl's circuit, but a bit more subdued...you can't get a bad sound out of it) - 3 ways toggle switch (mute/normal/treble defeat) - 32" scale - hipshot ultralite Tuners - hipshot ultralite - stunningly carved body design

This bass is one of Pete's first 10 and will surely be a collector's item. For those not familiar with Pete Hilton, he is currently (and has for the past several years been) working with carl thompson and his hands have been responsible for a lot of the gorgeous wood work that has been coming out of the thompson shop in recent years. Pete is gifted with wood and what he's learned from Carl has resulted in unreal instruments. Out of all the basses I've listed in this insane fire sale to raise cash this is the one that I hope doesn't sell. the neck is the slimmest I've ever touched and everything about it is what I love about Carl's designs, but without that Thompson name plate. It is a Frills bass at a No Frills price.

couple of pix (although no camera could ever capture the beauty of this bass):

more pictures available upon requrest. for faster response, call or text at 516.578.7196. I said it before and I'll say it again...I need to raise cash NOW. If this doesn't sell right away, I'm closing this thread. I doubt if this opportunity will be available for me for a week...so act NOW.

thanks. i was really hoping to hit the lotto last night so i wouldn't have to sell anything, but alas getting one number amounts to nothing in mega-millions (ofcourse it was the first one out so i got REALLY excited).

i'm currently chatting with 2 people about this bass and both will be letting me know either later today or tomorrow if they are taking it so first one with cash gets it. so if you are into it, nows the time.

Thanks DerHoggz, pictures really can't do it justice. In person it is way cooler and the playability is amazing. All the design elements that Pete learned from Carl, rolled into a gorgeous package, at a No Frills CT price. The neck is the hands down thinnest neck I've ever touched. Every single fret is reachable easily and the bass is less than 6lbs in weight.

I've been trading a few phone calls on this bass and another all day and it looks like this may all work out, but only if someone steps up and buys the bass(es), but we're close. Act now if you are into any of these.

I understand raising money fast for a dream bass...especially if it's a CT. If my taxes were in I'd be on top of this one, so a free bump for ya is all I can offer. Good luck to you.

thanks for all the support. these past few days have been pretty exciting and it looks like this Hilton will be heading off to a new owner (pending payment and finalization of the deal).

as for payment, i'll take pennies...just please roll them up, it would take a REALLY long time to count all them pennies and i've got a new bass to play with.
