Fodera AJP 6 string (Must see)
To this day, this remains the finest instrument I've ever touched. Purchased new in 1999, this bass is in NOS mint condition. If you've ever considered challenging yourself to play the six using an instrument that will reward every element of your technique and musicianship, take note.
From the dramatic, sweeping curves of the carved top to the simply gorgeous and rich Brazilian fingerboard, this is as much a work of art as it is a premier example of the height of Vinnie Fodera's craftsmanship.
This bass is flawless, stunning and exquisite in every sense of every word.
I'm on the fence as to whether I actually sell this or not. I am looking at another Fodera that will replace this. If that deal doesn't happen, I will not sell.
$10,800 (which is an extremely reasonable price for an instrument of this caliber, features and vintage).
The only other thing I would consider is a trade for an early Fodera 5 with a Chestnut top and 19mm spacing.
Thanks for looking.
I could never afford this bass but..........:D:D
Can we hear some recordings with all PU and coil switching options? Love that wood combo. Rosewood FB with an ash body is my favorite tonewood combo. How does the high C string sound IYHO?
PS I just went through your flicker pics and you are one sick MF#$@. Geez........you have some nice instruments. Good luck with the sale amigo.
I do have some issues... Life is short! :D
If I were even thinking of moving to 6 string this one would be a top choice- good luck with the sale Joel!
I have a dual pickup one like this with chestnut top. You can't go wrong with it. Plays faster than all my other basses regardless of scale.
Best work I ever seen!
Thanks everyone -- I appreciate all the nice comments.
The deal I was considering isn't going to happen, so I'm going to close this down and return to my senses.
