Fodera Matt Garrison 5 string FS - REDUCED -

Well I never thought I wold see the day that I put this bass up for sale but the truth is that it never gets played and has only been out of the house a few times in the 5 years since it was made.

I had this bass custom made and its based on the Matt Garrison model. I had the body made slightly thinner and slightly smaller (like Janek's first fodera) I also had the bass made completely passive (but with a control cavity so adding a preamp would be very easy) The layout is volume tone stacked, pickup blend and 3 switches (coil, coil, standby).

FODERA Matt Garrison signature 5 string, 33",26 fret,5 pc ash neck, ebony fgbrd, abalone dot markers,
2+3 headstock,17mm bridge spacing,blk plastic pickup covers no exposed poles,ebonramp between PU's,
,black hardware, original case.

I will also include 10 sets of DR strings that are 30-100.

I am NOT looking for trades, most of my gigs are with my vintage fenders and I have settled on a 4 string Fodera monarch deluxe and a Ken Smith Hadrien Feraud 5 string for my high end basses.

The only sign of use is a small finish mark on the back of the bottom horn that could easily be fixed by a qualified person. I have also talked with Jason at Fodera and the options of adding the new Fodera Preamp or having a new nut cut to set the bass up with a low B are very easy options. I used the 2 tuners on top instead of 3 to give the lowest string a little longer length to make stringing it up with a low B a little easier. The bass sounds great either way (low B or High C)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Asking $8500 plus actual shipping. Non fee related payments only and I will ship worldwide.

Currently the MG model starts at $11,375 and the MG standard (non customizable) is $8750

here is the mark on the back of the lower horn, the flash makes it look more noticeable than it is and I believe the finish is rubbed on so cleaning this up would be easy for someone who knew what they were doing...

VIDEO

Here is a video showing the condition of the bass and the sound of it set up with a LOW B.
LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES - I go through the nuances of the different pickup setting and coil tap options and I'm sure the nuances will be lost on computer speakers

note: the nut is not cut specifically for a Low B so the setup is not perfect, this is for demo purposes because I know a lot of guys may want to go with a LOW B. modifying the nut or getting a new nut would be an easy job.

Not a 5 string guy anymore but I will always love the sig model of one of my all time favorite bassist. This is quite a beauty and sounds amazing.
