These four have been great "learning" basses, but I don't have the time (or funds) to continue buying basses as projects. As such, I'm letting these go for the price of parts, basically, and sticking to mid-level, un-modded basses while I learn to stop tinkering.
**DISCLAIMER**
None of these basses have any major issues - they're all players, and have been gigged around a bit, to practice and to shows. That being said, none of them are much more than beaters with a bunch of fancy parts in them, and I wouldn't hold it against you if you wanted to just strip the parts out of them and put them in something in better shape. They all sound good, just don't think you're getting something MIA quality.
Okay, here we go.
SX Jazz bass in Candy Apple Red. I made a mess of the routing, but you can't tell without the p/g. It's now a dual-P bass, with a Lace Alumitone P in the neck and Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder in the bridge. Bridge is a BadAss II, CTS pots, Orange Drop cap, Switchcraft jack, Mighty Mite tuners and Hipshot D-tuner. It's got some flaws, and is strung DGCF with the bottom 4 from a 5-string set of Ernie Ball Slinkies. The headstock is cracked some from not quite making the holes for the tuners big enough - it wasn't an issue until it got cold, then it cracked. Holds together fine, though. Also, the finish over the area from the nut to the first fret chipped off. Plays just fine, though. There' a YouTube vid of this one -

At an Alpha Music Bass Player's Club meeting last year:
-------------------------------------------------------------
SX Geddy clone - Audere JZ3 preamp, SD Anitquity II in the neck, SEIQ jazz humbucker in the bridge. BadAss II bridge, b/w/b Fender pickguard. Been in my stable for quite a while, but I'm just not playing it any more, great "Geddy-sounding" bass. Also on YouTube, but effects were added - hopefully you get the idea.

OLP Musicman "FrankenRay 5". Lots was done to this bass, and it served as a test platform, for a while, but it's been my main gigging bass. Bartolini jazz pup in the neck, matched Bart MM pup in the rear, Audere preamp, custom-milled heavy-duty bridge, bone nut. Definitely a beater, but well worth the cost in parts for another project. The body is essentially routed out to a shell, and for those of you that remember this bass, no, the lighting is gone - too much noise.
At a recent gig in Dec:

And finally, a Peavey Grind 5 that I de-fretted, epoxied, and routed for two MM style pickups. Custom ramps and knobs, CTS pots, push-pull series/parallel volumes, oil film caps of unknown variety. Painted matte black, and bridge from eBay. Good sound, but not at all "mwah"ish, mostly like a MM fretted, but without the mwah. Now strung with Black Beauties. Could use some lovin'.
At our last gig, less than a month ago:

I'm looking for:
$250 shipped on the CAR Dual-P Jazz
$300 shipped on the Geddy clone
$250 shipped for the Stingray
$200 shipped for the Peavey
Continental U.S. only.
No trades - I'm getting away from having too many basses, and I've got all the gear I need.
(Did I just say that?)
I have a good condition Rondo hard case (pictured above with the Peavey) that I'll ship the first bass that sells in, then the next one to sell will be in a flimsy gig bag, otherwise they're going to be wrapped and boxed as-is.
I'll make special deals for anyone wanting to buy more than one, but I'm firm on the prices individually.
Thanks!
