Fretless Ibanez SR506 F/S

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

I am selling an Ibanez SR 506 that had the frets removed by the previous owner. It's a great bass with a great sound but I guess I just prefer 4's plus I could use the money with christmas so close. I bought it pretty recently, see this post for the details on the bass. It comes with a gigbag. I'm asking only what I paid, $500, with shipping included in the US. I prefer payment by paypal, buyer pays the 3% paypal fee.

Here are the details for this bass:

Ibanez SR506
serial number C 06022904
mahogany body
5 piece wenge/bubinga bolt on neck
2 Bartolini MK1 pickups
3 way Bartolini preamp
Shaller strap-locks installed
Rotosound Monel flats installed (original elixirs included)
Light weight gig-bag included.
Free shipping in the continental US

Thanks

*Price reduced to $500 shipped*

this used to be my bass, and i still miss it a lot! i can vouch for the seller as well, he's an all around up-front and decent guy.

i only sold this beauty because 6 strings was more than my hands could accomodate. i sure hope this sweet bass finds a good home.

sorry it didn't work out for you josh!

peace.

Thanks,

Yeah it's a great bass but every time I go pick one up just to play around with I seem to go for the 4. A 5 may be in my future but I don't a 6 is for me. I may look for a nice fretless again in the future though, I love the "mwaaah" this thing has.

Oh man, I am seriously considering this.... would I be able to get some soundclips of this? Everything set to as transparent as possible, I would really like to be able to hear the bass. If you do, could you send them to bassfacekevin@gmail.com? Thanks a bunch!

I may be able to get some clips to you, but it will be a little while, I'll be on vacation until the 30th, but I'll post some after that.

Just wondering why there are some Sr506 that look really grainy. Like the mahogany wood on the body has dots. Looking at this one it looks like its mahogany color all around. But some just have these white dots everywhere.

I noticed this, too, especially with the SR506, which is more dark as the usual SR504, or 505.
I believe most of this is due to the different light conditions / flashes etc. when the pics are taken. My SR506 looked white graniy on the pic, but in reality it is without any white dots. (I bought it used, and the pic was taken about the actual item)

Well I just got back from vacation and the bass is still for sale. I'm sorry but I don't have the ability to post sound clips. I can assure you it's got a gret fretless sound to it. Also, I appreciate some of the offers but right now I'm not really looking for any trades, right now I could use the money. Thanks!
