FS *MINT* 2008 EBMM Music Man STERLING 5 HH

SOLD to COREYFYFE
Well me and the wife are looking for a new house, and I need to get some cash for the down payment. Up for sale is my "MINT" Musicman Pacific Blue Burst Sterling 5. I just got this in May, so it's practically brand new. This bass has only been used about 2 hours total! It's currently strung with flats, but I have a set of rounds that I will throw in if needed.

I will sell this beautiful bass with all the case candy and OHSC for $1200 plus shipping.

I would really like to make this a local transaction so anyone within 100 miles of zip 10990 would get a great deal. SORRY NO PAYPAL/CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.

I know...
I really hate to let this one go, but I already have a Sterling 5 HH, so this one must go. Plus I need money for the new house!

What's the weight on this bass?

Do you know the tone difference between a Sterling and a Stingray?

Thanks.

The bass weighs 9.6 pounds on my very accurate digital bathroom scale. The sound on these Sterling 5's are very close to the Stingray as they use the same electronics and pickups. The main difference is the smaller body, and slightly thiner neck. I have another of these n Trans Orange, so that's why I'm selling this bass. I hope this answers your questions.

John

Really beautiful bass, John. Wonder what that bass would look like with a clear pickguard.

Is the neck noticably smaller vs. the SR5 and the Fender PB5? I'm used to a Lakland DJ5 which measures 1.78" at the nut, so slight difference.

How does the neck pickup sound soloed? Can you get a dub-like sound?

I was always under the impression that SR5 necks and Sterling 5 necks were identical, at least thats what the site has IIRC.

Free bump for something I WISH I could afford.

I own a 2003 Sterling Fretless that I modded up with two stingray PU...I absolutely love it and my personal preference has always been the sterling over the stingray.

But I actually played one just like yours 2 months ago and it was a phenom. At $1,200 this one is a real steal... Free bumps from someone who tried this model.

Trans Blue is really nice looking too

The necks are very similiar, but the Sterling 5 is a little less chunky...if that makes any sense.

I will be on Long Island this Saturday for a Family party, so if anyone out on the island is interested in ANY of my basses, please let me know TODAY. FYI I am also selling another EBMM 2007 Music Man Stingray 5 HH Blue Dawn, and a Fender 2001 Precision Deluxe 5. All in either Excellent or MINT condition. Give me a SHOUT!
