FS: '07 Lakland Skyline DJ4 - LPB

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is a 2007 Lakland Skyline DJ4. I bought this bass new from Jive Sound in Alexandria. It has never been gigged and has been kept in a smoke-free environment, where it shared time with a P bass as I have slowly learned how to play. The bass is in mint condition. My wife recently bought me a Ric, and this bass just isn't getting played.

It is strung with Chromes and I will throw in a new set of GHS Boomers (45-105) that I bought when I wasn't sure I would like flats. Since I learned quickly how much I like flats on this bass, the Boomers were never used.

***SPF TO CLOVERFIELD ****

$850 shipped in a Lakland gig bag.

Here are pics:

Aero pups? And if so, this would be damn perfect for me if it had a rosewood fretboard. :/

What's the s/n?

Are there any cosmetic defects, light scratches, nicks, or signs of normal wear?

The first four digits of the s/n are 0712xxxxx. There are no cosmetic defects that I see. The bass has either been on a stand in my back bedroom or in it's gig bag since I bought it.

Thanks for the additional info...

Why are you masking the complete s/n?

Are you able to provide a better pic of the head face without glare?

What is the Condition, Brand, and Color of the included GigBag? Lakland/Levys Logos? Actual photos of the GigBag would be also be appreciated.

123.

Also, how much does it weigh in at? I know DJ's have a tendency to fluctuate and can be anywhere from 9-12lbs from what I've read, if I remember correctly...

The gig bag is a black Lakland/Levys and, like the bass, is in mint condition. Here are pics:

Here is an attempt at a glare-free picture of the head face:

Using my bathroom scale, multiple attempts register between 9 pounds and 9.5 pounds.

As for the serial number, I'm not trying to hide anything, but, I was initially suprised by the request. The SN is 07125418. I have the original invoice from when I bought the bass from Jive Sound.

I now own a prototype of this design made by Albey & Darryl in 1996 before they sold it to Lakland. Mine has Lane Poor pick ups & a Badass bridge. I absolutely love the sound & response. I'm sure someone will love this one too. Bump for a great bass!

Chris, thank you for the additional photos and information - You have a very nice bass indeed. I'll have to ponder this decision a bit more before I make any moves.

Typically people do this to prevent a situation where someone sees a complete SN and claims the bass was "stolen".
