I bought this bass early last year although the serial number dates it to 2008. It's seen light use, mostly in practice -- maybe two or three gigs total. Plays and sounds absolutely sweet. This one sports the passive single-coil Chi-Sonic configuration and has been PLEK'd (I'll include the hang tag so stating). The weight is a comfortable
8.2 lbs, which I'd wager is toward the lighter side for one of these mahogany bodied monsters. Otherwise, there's not a lot of variation among these Skyline models and if you're looking, you probably know what you're looking at, but the full specs can be found here:
Lakland Decaade Condition: The bass is in excellent shape. Mostly just minor scuffs and swirls to the pickguard. There is one very light scratch along the top edge of the headstock (not the painted surface) which was there when I received it new. It's minor enough that I didn't care enough to complain and can't capture in pictures. The only other blemish is a tiny ding I put in the finish on the front just below where the arm contour starts. You can just barely make it out in the pic below. Otherwise, I can't find a flaw on this thing.
It's currently strung through the body with D'Addario XL165 super long scale strings. I have a spare, unopened set I'll include in the sale since this is my only string-through bass. Will ship in a brand new Kaces gig bag I bought just to have something to ship it in. The bag is nothing special, pretty minimally padded, but it's something (no bag or case was included when I bought it new).
