FS: 1.5 year old Ibanez SR506 6 string bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all, I am selling my Ibanez Soundgear SR506 6-string. Its 1.5 years old, and I am the sole owner. Active 3-band pre amp, Bartolini MK1 pickups. I've never gigged with it, there are only 2 blemishes on the face of the bass around the pickups, which you can see in the photos. Both are fingernail scratches just from playing, if you look at other pictures of this model, many have scratches in the same spots.

This bass really sounds amazing. Neck is super thin (Ibanez style), B is fairly tight and tone blends with the other strings. I bought it because I was a Claypool wannabe, and have since discovered I have no need for a 6 (and I found a super deal on a 5, now my main bass). Comes with straplocks also, don't remember the brand, but they do the job.

Price is $400 with FREE SHIPPING. Not really interested in trades either, only other bass I'm gassing for is a Stingray 5, and I doubt anyone wants to trade that away.

I picked up one of these the other day at an area guitar shop thinking it was a 505. I tried a 505 and a 755 also. I loved the 755, and I loved the 506. I didn't think I would like a 6 string, but I have since changed my mind. Neck was very comfortable, and the Bartolini's...well, they're Bartolini's. I've been searching for a particular sound, and this bass makes it. I could get used to a sixer alright.
