This was going to be my NBD bass. But fate intervened and dropped a Tele that I have coveted for years in my lap. So last one in is first one out. I'm open to trades!
Made in Japan, mid to late 60's Silvertone Scroll headstock. 32" scale. Triple bound and block inlays
ALL ORIGINAL!!!!
I only had time to clean it. There is a neck bolt missing (the neck is fine). Truss rod is great. The pick guard for the controls is also missing a screw. The pots need a cleaning. This baby was stored for years until I stumbled on it. Yes, that is the original foam mute in the bridge. Couple of finish cracks and a couple of scratches here and there. I haven't had a chance to do anything but clean and play it. It will be packed well and insured.
Very very clean bass for this age.
Sounds thumpy and woody like a good Beatle bass should.
Evil Bay PRICE DROP!!! $250 shipped to the lower 48. Paypal is fine.
I'm interested. Weight is not a problem. It doesn't neck dive like a thunderbird. But it does dive. I put my arm in the middle cut as a rest and to keep the bass upright. Send me some particulars on yours.
It's made in Japan. The factory it was made in made similar models for 3 other companies according to the site I found to identify this one. At this point it's just a cool old thumpy scrool Beatle bass.
