Long scale hollow body bass guitar, Vox's top of the line, played by the likes of John Entwistle of the Who and Larry Graham of Sly and the Family Stone.
The Ox playing this bass on 'My Generation':

Features: two very hot chrome Ferro Sonic pickups, pickup selector, two volume and tone knobs, on-board G tuner, on-board bass/treble boost, on-board fuzz distortion.
The bass is in excellent condition cosmetically - all original parts (except for one screw on the neck pup harness). There is some finish cracking but that is standard on Vox basses of this vintage.
Now for the issues: as seen in the pictures, there is some neck damage - a little crack near the headstock. This does not affect the structural integrity of the bass.
There is also a slight bit of separation between the fretboard and the neck, up by the first fret. I didn't notice this until I changed the strings, when the lack of tension caused it to lift a little. With strings on there is no problem.
Also, the plastic distortion control knob is chipped. And the back of the headstock also has a chip. These are visible in the pictures.
Finally, there is some noise introduced when the bass/treble boost is engaged. I'm not sure if this is intrinsic to the circuit or if it just needs some cleaning. It's not a problem for live use, but it's probably too noisy for recording. (The bass boost is esp. fat by the way, very much like a sub enhancer.)
These basses typically sell for around $1400 on eBay but due to the aforementioned issues I am discounting it pretty heavily. I am also about to become a father in the next week or two and I'm looking for a quick sale to help with expenses. The ONLY trade I would
possibly consider is for a Rickenbacker.
