FS: 1966 Mosrite Ventures Bass - PRICE REDUCTION!

Sign in to disble this ad
I am selling a refinished 1966 Mosrite dual pickup Ventures bass SN#6911. I acquired this from a Mosrite afficionado in Florida who had taken a well worn instrument and refinished it very nicely in Sea Foam Green and sent the neck to Mosrite guru Tym of Austrailia and had him refinish the neck. Both parties did a great job and this bass is amazing! The neck is straight and buzz free, both pickups kick ass, loud output and sound great and the refin on both the body and neck are top notch. While I dont think Mosrite ever did Sea Foam Green finishes, it totally suits this bass.
The only issue is that the pickup selector switch needs a little work, it wont stay in place in the bridge only position. You can push it there but it slips back sonically to a blended position. I am pricing accordingly. There is also a scratch in the finish on the front side and also a scratch on the pickguard that I am including a photo of. Otherwise this is in great shape and rock solid! I am including what I assume is an original hard case. Mosrites dont fit in Fender cases so it has to be a proprietary Mosrite case.

$1650 Now $1600 shipped and insured in the CONUS.

Thanks!
Larry

I have the single pup version! They actually did make a green very similar to that. My father inlaw has one. His is a 67 he bought new all original and loaded with MOJO! He will be burried with it. Mine was finished in red. Candy apple sort of. 1969 model. If you want vintage ssound there isn't much better anywhere. Actually a bargain at the asking price.
