Regrettably, I'm offering my 1970 Telecaster Bass up for sale, which is all original and in excellent condition.
There are a few dings and scuffs and very light buckle rash all of which are very minor. Additional mojo includes a bit of wood darkening right along both edges of the fretboard and very light arm wear along the top of body. Overall the bass is in amazing condition for a 39 year old slab, the finish has very little checking or darkening. Weight is 8 Lbs. on my bathroom scale.
Neck is straight and frets show very little wear. Tone of the single coil pickup is amazing and much more dynamic than the humbuckers that followed in later years.
I'm asking $2800 shipped and insured to the continental US, sorry no trades.
Please PM or email me with any questions!!!
Pics to follow.. ..

Good luck with the sale. Sorry you have to part with her.

John Paul Jones played one of these on occasion. His appeared to have had the finish removed. Great instrument.

This old girl is clean and sounds big and wide!
Dick Them, there is another super clean Tele from '68 for sale at a great price at Bass Northwest if you are interested, with a new bridge and PUPs, but also including the originals. It was a toss-up between the two, but I preferred to help out a fellow TBer first.
