I've owned a reissue Guild Starfire, a DeArmond Starfire with Dark Star pickups and always wanted the real deal. I found this 1970 Guild Starfire II (serial BA 1881) with original Hagstrom Bi-Sonic pickups and the original finish about 6 months ago and had it brought back close to stock. It's everything I hoped and satisfied my curiousity, but I just don't need it and I continue to be in simplify mode.
The Good:
- Original Hagstrom Bi-Sonic pickups that sound amazing
- Original finish. it has some chips and dings and light checking, and there is a light spot on the lower horn (shown in the pics). i think it looks awesome in its current state...
- Newly wired back close to stock by the ever awesome
Justin Kennedy, 'cept with a "kill switch" in one of the extra holes. Sounds great with no issues.
- New setup and intonation with new Thomastik Jazz Rounds. Plays great with no issues
- Epiphone Rivoli hard case included. The Starfire fits the case near perfectly.
The Bad:
- The electronics were modded when I got it with a phase switch and some other unknown button. This wiring harness is included.
- The tuners were replaced at some point. They look old and hold tune and adjust well, but they're not original.

The Price:
$1750 including ground, insured shipping in the continental US. I've priced this for fast sale and I'm not interested in any trades right now, sorry.
Thanks for looking!
