FS 1972 Pbass w/ j pickup

1972 Fender in natural.
She's seen a lot of gigs.
I'm the second owner.
Ash maple weighing in at a svelte 8.2 lbs.

As the above picture shows a j pickup was added by the original owner. When I bought the bass it was sporting some 70's vintage aftermarket pickups. I replaced those with a Nordstrand p-j set, with a hum canceling j-pickup, which are currently installed. When I installed the pickups I shielded the cavity as shown below. Note the truss rod still flush with the end of the neck.

The finish is cracked or missing in a couple of places on the body which are shown below.

As with many older maple necked instruments the finish is worn off the edges of the fretboard. The edges of the neck are nicely broken in and the neck feels amazing. There are also a couple of places on the fretboard where the finish is worn through. The neck is shown in the following pictures.

The neck is all original, tuners frets etc. The body and finish are original. The electronics have been replaced. I'm not sure on the pickguard or bridge. Currently wearing a set of DR HiBeam flats and while there is some fret wear the action is low and buzz free. I think I covered everything but pm me if you want more photos or information.

Ships in a newer fender gig bag for the low price of $1400 + shipping.

Now that's my kind of bass right there! Good thing I'm not sitting on money in my bass fund right now, or I'd be rapidly accumulating '70s Precisions with changes and mojo. (Not that there's anything wrong with that).

I'll measure the pickup to bridge distance tonight.

As for sound it's got some bite on the bridge pickup but not overly bright.

Thanks for the trade offers but I'm not interested in trades at this time.

I measured the pickup spacing and the distance from the 12th fret to the center of the pole pieces is just under 15 1/4". My Alleva Coppolo LM-5 with 70s spacing is just under 15" while my LG-5 with 60's spacing is 14 1/2".

I need a little time to raise the money, but i think im interested.

Do you still have the original pick ups? I was asking about specifications of the current ones to search them in the web.

I have the dimarzio set that was in the bass when I got it but I don't have the original fender pickups.
