The serial number on the 4-bolt neckplate is 403020.
The neck heel shows 7 APR 73 A. (hard to read, but it’s there).
The tuners are original (with a nice patina, I might add).
The pot numbers are 304 7304 and all match. The 7304 means 4th week 1973 so I’m told.
The stamp on the neck heel says B TORRES but there is no date in the body cavity. There is no date on the pickups or in the pickup or control cavity.
The case appears original but there is no Fender logo on the outside? It is the black Tolex with leather end caps and the white piping. The interior is the standard plush orange. I’ve been told that Fender produced some cases in 1964-1965 that had no exterior logo.
The pickups and tone control work and there is no ‘crunch’ in any of the pots. Weight is approx 9.7 lbs on my not-so-accurate bath scale.
I apologize in advance for the quality of the photos with the digital Kodak. Gimme a Nikon! I am not interested in trades or parting it out. Cash only and I would prefer not to ship it. The thought of some guy running over it with a forklift at the UPS facility makes my blood run cold. Comments? Offers?
PM or Email. Currently asking $2500 OBO.

PM or Email. | You can only do two per reply, so you would have to reply and add more pics.

As for a price, I've been looking around the net and it appears to be worth around 3k, but that is why I'm asking you folks - what is a fair price for it? Here are two more pics. |

What is the weight? ( hopefully on a reliable scale)
Any refrets, fret dresses, pickup rewinds, or electronic repair/re-wiring?
Thanks! |

Thanks.
So any chance to get a reliable weight on this bass? |

A belt rash in pic 1 and a small ding in the body in pic 2. The weird white lines and white glare are flash reflections and not wear on the body, as it appears. |
