I have here a FANTASTIC 1973 Guild Starfire II bass.
The Bi-Sonics get all the attention, but these Humbuckers deliver a loud n' fat low-end that the Bi-Sonics can't touch (I know, I have a '67 SF I setting here as well).
The condition on this bass is absolutely fantastic, with only a few very minor dings and a couple of finish checks. The cherry finish is unfaded. The bass is still with it's original Guild-badged hardshell case, manual/hangtag with the serial number and model name & color written in it.
I'm pretty confident that I was the first person to ever remove the truss rod cover, and the truss rod operation was totally smooth and functionally perfect. The action on the bass is low and fast. The frets are small, but not worn.
With Westerly reissues fetching $2k and two-pickup 60's models creeping up into the stratosphere, I'm splitting the difference and asking $2500 shipped & PP'd
for this dual-pickup beauty. It's ready to gig, record with, or sit on your wall and look pretty.
I am not really into trades unless it's something old or a reissue of some sort.
