I REALLY don't want to do this, but my personal bass ownership policy, plus the fact that my other Yamaha really isn't moving right now, forces me to take unfortunate steps.
For sale is the gorgeous Yamaha BB2000 I purchased from Halegroove a couple of months back. From his research, this is the FIRST BB2000 off the line in 1978, and actually harkens back to when these were called "Broad Basses" and not proper BBs. It's in surprisingly good shape for its age, and was recently given a full setup, as Halegroove details in the last FS thread linked below.
When I purchased it in November, it came in a period correct form-fitting Yamaha case that was all chewed-up. I've since found the same exact model case in SURPRISINGLY good condition through and through, and will be shipping the bass in that new case.
Given the case upgrade and minus my two months of ownership, which amounted to about 2 hours of private practicing, I'm asking 950 shipped CONUS for this bit of history.
Will consider trades for and/or towards Lakland basses, both of which will necessitate additional bass sales, but such is the nature of GAS.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
