Still a looker. |

Nice looking Jazz. Wish I had the $$. Would be a virtual twin to my '78 Precision.

To answer a few questions: This neck is straight, the action is super low, electronics work properly and there is very very little fret wear. I would compare this to a 2 year old bass that has been played a little but is in outstanding condition. It really is like a time warp!
This bass is bright, the tone is Marcus Miller all the way. In fact I ran through an outboard Sadowsky pre which with the stock 79 pickups duplicates Marcus' setup electronically. I just boosted the bass a bit and had the perfect "Scoop" tone. Wonderful! Only time I would ever add treble is if the strings were going dead which was pretty much never. |

Here are some pics I shot today showing the extremely minimal fret wear (at the 3rd fret) and another all dressed up with the original thumbrest and covers on!

I had a spector for sale and these clowns were offering me basses 1/4 of the value in trade. Thats not 1/4 of the price but 1/4 of trade value for a bass I wouldnt take for free, haha. People now in days want you to give the bass for free...So you want to trade that 1979 Fender for a Ibanez sr300???...j/k.....if thats the case we might as well keep it!!! |
