FS 1981 G&L L-2000 E Mahogany / Tobacco Burst

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!!!
1981- First year for the G&L L-2000 Series E
Mahogany examples don't come up very often!
Nice looking Tobacco Burst finish in good shape for a 30 yr. old bass!
Frets have no wear! nearly perfect.
Electronics work perfectly with original 1981 configuration (parallel humbucker/single w/bass boost red switch and no treble control when switched to bridge P/U only) resistor added to output to protect the chip.

This one has:
-ebony fretboard
-skunk stripe
-slotted pole piece pickups ('81 only for the L-2000)
-chrome hardware ('81 only for the L-2000)
-lawsuit headstock
-Pat. Pend Bridge
-Schaller stamped tuners

G&L Gurus
Feel free to correct me on any of this if I am mistaken

Lots more pictures here:

It's a great bass that you can get almost any sound out of but I'm a little afraid to play something this special and unreplaceable.

Comes with non-original hard case

$1350 Shipped Lower 48 US

International OK but you pay all shipping.

This is the only 4 string solid body electric bass I wish I could own. Wow! Best of luck with the sale.

Winner. Show-stopper. These basses will only increase in value, and this one looks clean! Wish mine looked so good!

And, if you want to rumble ball-sacks six blocks away, THIS is your bass.

'Hog-Bomb BUMP!

VERY Nice. Special is right, very well cared for. You're gonna miss that one and somebody is going to be very lucky.

Interested in a 1956 Zenith television? Maybe a 1976 Huffy, Evil Knievel model, 20" bike with most of the original parts? 1950 Schick single blade shaving razor? Unidentified, rusty but still unopened can of food? Pocket fuzz from a pair of slacks once owned by Bill Clinton's dry cleaner's step cousin? I can throw in two nickels and a penny from 1981, to sweeten the deal.

Let me know if any of this is interesting to you.

Dumb post bump.
