FS: 1981 G&L L-2000E, original case, great bass

I am selling my 1981 G&L L_2000E 4 string white with maple fretboard (serial number B00xxxx). This is an active/passive bass with switch selection (9 volt battery). This bass is completely, 100% original and working perfectly, The bass has been played so it have wear on it. There is some visible fret-wear, but not to the point of adversely affecting the playability of the bass, and the last tech I took this to for a said up confirmed that there was a lot of life left in them. As is the case with most white finishes of this age, it has mellowed/yellowed in some areas more than others. There are some of nicks and scratches but the bass still looks good for a 30 plus years old. The bass weights around 9.5 lbs. The neck is straight and ready to be played. Comes with original G&L hard shell case. It is used but all the locks are working. This is an incredible bass, clear and punchy, but I have to trim down my bass collection so it has to go. Price is $895 shipped in ConUSA (firm). No trade as I need money. Paypal payment is great. I can ship outside the USA if you pay the actual shipping cost.

SMOKIN' DEAL ALERT!!!

That is an INSANE price!!! A 30 year old, built by Leo Fender, in Fullerton, Ca., when Leo was working 'just over there', and George was overseeing the production right on the factory floor....for $895????

It amazes me how late 70's/early 80's Fenders, and pre-1980 Musicmans have gone up in value, and G&L's, which were produced in much lesser numbers, have not. Didja know there were more Fender basses produced between 1951 to 1960 than G&L's from 1980 to 1990?

SOMEBODY HIT THIS NOW!!!

.....bump.......

.....I think i need to switch to de-caf.......
