FS: 1981 G&L L1000

Fretless 81 G&L L1000 in excellent condition. 1 owner, all original, no issues. No finish checking on body or neck, chrome is like new. Light weight at 9lbs 4oz. on a Fed Ex scale. Original case with keys included, latches and hinges intact. Ebony fingerboard in great shape, always wore flats or half rounds.
Pickups have slot pole pieces, serial# B005415.
One small ding on top edge of upper horn.
Slight line of discoloration on the back of the neck at about the 10th fret, probably from the rubber protector on a guitar stand.
I have a picture showing these 2 very minor flaws.
$750

Said it before ... if I could play fretless worth a durn ...

Bump from a Wunkay lover. That thing has got to be about as clean as they come. By the time I hit 30, I had way more dings and dents than that!

Thanks James, of all the many basses I've owned, this one was actually cleaner than the seller described it. He sent me some recordings he did with this bass, it kills.

Wow. Great deal too. But I do love my much more beat up, mahogany burst/ebony l1000 that I paid $150 more for. Someone needs to get this!

I think the "lack of traffic" is because it's a fretless. I'd pay at at least a hundred more if it was fretted, but have just decided that fretless isn't for me (after many half-hearted attempts).
This is going to draw a more specialized crowd.

Hey Gary
I agree, its a very small market, and I'm in need of a fretted bass for some projects coming up.
Jan, yes the bass is still available.
Krust, nice stable of G&L's that you have, I've never seen so many L1K's for sale at the same time.
Thanks
Don

Still available, will consider trades for fretted: L1K, L2000, JB-2, Early SB-2 (JJ), or whatever.
